Russian forces have managed to partially seize control of Ocheretyne in the Avdiivka sector.
However, Ukrainian troops swiftly responded by deploying reserve units to stabilize the situation and reclaim control of the area.
According to Nazar Voloshyn, spokesperson for the "Khortytsia" military unit, the enemy succeeded in breaching Ukrainian defenses and establishing a presence in Ocheretyne. Ukrainian forces, however, have engaged in heavy fighting and are actively working to drive out the invaders.
Voloshyn emphasized that Ukrainian Armed Forces are taking all necessary measures to stabilize the situation and recapture Ocheretyne. Additional forces and resources from reserve units have been mobilized for this purpose.
The recent escalation comes amidst ongoing hostilities, with Russian troops launching a barrage of attacks on Ukraine throughout April. The assaults included over 300 missiles of various types, nearly 300 Shahed UAVs, and more than 3,200 guided bombs targeting Ukrainian settlements. (ILKHA)
