Türkiye's raw milk production saw a marginal decline in 2023, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The institute's Animal Production Survey revealed a 0.4% decrease compared to 2022, bringing the total production to 21.48 million tons.
Despite the overall decrease, there were variations in milk production from different animals. Cow's milk, the dominant contributor at 92.6% of the total, experienced a modest increase of 0.2%.
Goat's milk production also rose slightly by 0.5%. However, ewe's milk production suffered a significant drop of 12.5%, while buffalo milk production decreased by 1.3%. (ILKHA)
