Services Producer Price Index (S-PPI) increased by 78.72% annually, by 1.41% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Tuesday.
S-PPI (2017=100) increased by 1.41% on monthly basis, by 78.72% on December of the previous year basis, by 78.72% on same month of the previous year basis and by 89.94% on the twelve months moving averages basis in December 2022.
Transportation and storage services increased by 80.17% annually
The indices increased by 80.17% for transportation and storage services, by 89.99% for accommodation and food services, by 63.97% for information and communication services, by 73.24% for real estate services, by 78.58% for professional, scientific and technical services, by 80.43% for administrative and support services compared with the previous year.
Transportation and storage services increased by 1.08% monthly
The indices increased by 1.08% for transportation and storage services, increased by 3.27% for accommodation and food services, increased by 0.59% for information and communication services, decreased by 0.85% for real estate services, increased by 2.84% for professional, scientific and technical services, increased by 0.95% for administrative and support services compared with the previous month.
Compared to general S-PPI, lower annual change observed in 12 subdivisions while 15 subdivisions were higher
The lowest rates of annual increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were the indices for telecommunications services by 41.13%, for warehousing and support services for transportation by 43.07%, for legal and accounting services by 47.55%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were indices for programming and broadcasting services by 121.59%, for advertising and market research services by 119.97%, for veterinary services by 103.97%.
Compared to general S-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 16 subdivisions while 11 subdivisions were higher
The highest rates of monthly decrease in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were for programming and broadcasting services by 12.59%, for air transport services by 1.86%, for water transport services by 1.86%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were for other professional, scientific and technical services by 7.10%, for motion picture, video TV programme production services by 5.57%, for food and beverage serving services by 4.25%. (ILKHA)
