2,433,219 million students throughout Turkey are taking the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) over the weekend amid coronavirus restrictions.
The exam is being held in three sessions over the weekend, taking place in two phases.
The second session, comprising of the Field Proficiency Tests (AYT), has begun at 10:15 and will last for 180 minutes.
On the third session of the exam, students will take the Foreign Language Test (YDT) Sunday afternoon.
Turkish officials urged students to use protective masks and observe social distancing rules during the exams.
At the same time, the country has imposed a limited curfew over the weekend in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic as the exam takes place. (ILKHA)
