Mavi Marmara Trial adjourned
The tenth trial of the Mavi Marmara was held at the Istanbul Courthouse. The trial adjourned to 12 April 2016.
The tenth hearing of the Mavi Marmara trial was held at the Istanbul Courthouse in Caglayan neighborhood. The hearing will be held on 12th April with the testimonies of the witnesses.
The court decided to continue for arrest warrant for suspects decreed by default and ask the consequence of the red notice from the Ministry of Justice.
Some participants’ statements that were on Mavi Marmara were taken at today’s hearing. Some witnesses said what they lived as follows:
American activist Katherine Sheetz: They confiscated all my belongings. After that I realized that some alcohol beverages were bought with my credit card. They seized all videos of their attacks. We displayed Israel that we were in international waters.
Nur Ikhvan: My handcuffs were so firm that when they undid them my wrists were black. We were at the middle of the prayer when the shot noises started. They raided over people who were praying.
Kifah al Amayreh: I heard the screams came from the deck. The arms’ shot were rising more and more. There were old and sick passengers. Israeli soldiers didn’t even let them to receive their pills.
Hasan Ahmad: We saw the joyful cheers of Jews when we arrived at Ashdod Dock.
Abdullah Aslan: The soldiers who were intercepting the ship were so naïve. When they couldn’t get on the ship they started to open fire. The soldiers asked me at the interrogation ‘would you join again?’ I said ‘yes’.
Meral Kaya: I witnessed the martyrdom of Ugur Suleyman Soylemez and other martyrs in blood. The soldiers even treaded on our breads that we brought. They constantly were shouting at us.
Esra Sekizkardeş: A man who said his name was Rafael and lived in Turkey for years, came to us when we were at the tent and asked us to sign some papers.
After the testimony of the witnesses the Court adjourned the trial to be held on 12 April 2016 at 10 o’clock. (ILKHA)
