35 migrants rescued after being pushed back by Greek forces off Muğla coast

Turkish Coast Guard Command units rescued 35 irregular migrants, including 12 children, after they were pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek forces off the coast of Seydikemer district in Muğla.
According to official statements, the rescue operation was launched after coast guard teams detected two lifeboats in distress. The migrants, who had been forced back from Greek waters, were safely brought ashore.
Authorities reported that one suspect was detained on allegations of migrant smuggling in connection with the incident.
Following identity checks and medical examinations, the rescued migrants were transferred to the Provincial Migration Administration Directorate for processing.
An investigation is ongoing into the smuggling network involved in the attempted illegal crossing. (ILKHA)
