A moderate earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale jolted eastern Turkey on Sunday evening.
The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) confirmed the quake's epicenter in the Başkale district of Van province.
According to AFAD, the tremor struck at approximately 9:01 PM local time (TSI) at a depth of 7 kilometers. The epicenter's coordinates were reported as 38.405 degrees north latitude and 45.13556 degrees east longitude.
Local sources indicated that the earthquake was felt in nearby districts.
Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage caused by the earthquake. (ILKHA)
