Arab League, OIC demand end to Israeli occupation at Antalya Diplomacy Forum

A ministerial committee of the Arab League, joined by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and international delegations, met on the sidelines of the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF 2025) to address the escalating humanitarian crisis in occupied Palestine.
In a joint declaration, the group condemned Israel’s intensifying attacks on Palestinians, describing the conflict as having reached a “dangerous phase” that violates international law and the UN Charter. They attributed the catastrophe in Gaza and other occupied territories to Israel’s decades-long illegal occupation and political deadlock.
The declaration rejected any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians and demanded compliance with international humanitarian law, including the immediate restoration of aid to Gaza. The committee called for an unconditional ceasefire and the release of all hostages, as agreed by Hamas and Israel on January 19.
The meeting proposed major conferences in Cairo and New York this June to reevaluate the US-backed two-state solution. The delegates stressed that lasting peace requires ending the Israeli occupation and establishing a sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Foreign ministers from Arab nations were joined by diplomats from China, Ireland, Norway, Russia, Slovenia, and Spain, signaling broad international support for Palestinian rights and sovereignty. (ILKHA)
