Erdoğan announces TL1.3 billion in agricultural support for 2025

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reaffirmed his government’s commitment to supporting Türkiye’s agricultural sector during the 4th Ziraat Bank Agricultural Ecosystem Gathering, held Saturday at the Haliç Congress Center in Istanbul.
In his address to attendees, President Erdoğan announced that the government has allocated TL1.3 billion in funding for agricultural projects this year, nearly doubling last year’s support.
“Last year, we provided grants totaling TL755 million to 71,000 people across 15 provinces,” Erdoğan stated. “This year, we have allocated a budget of TL1.3 billion for our projects. In other words, we, as the state, are and will continue to support those who work, produce, export, invest, and generate jobs with all our means.”
The president emphasized the government’s broader vision of strengthening Türkiye’s agricultural infrastructure, boosting exports, and creating more employment opportunities in rural areas through sustained financial and institutional support.
The event brought together agricultural stakeholders, including producers, exporters, and financial institutions, to discuss ways to expand and modernize Türkiye’s agricultural ecosystem. (ILKHA)
