Erdoğan returns to Ankara following emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan returned to Ankara on Tuesday after attending the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, Qatar.
The summit, convened by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League, was held in response to Israel's recent attack on Hamas leaders in Doha, which resulted in the deaths of five officials and a Qatari security officer.
Upon arrival at Esenboğa Airport, President Erdoğan was welcomed by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, and other officials. He was accompanied by First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Director of National Intelligence Organisation İbrahim Kalın, Presidency's Head of Communications Burhanettin Duran, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and AK Party Deputy Chairman and Head of Health Policies Prof. Halit Yerebakan.
During the summit, President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of solidarity among Arab and Islamic nations, stating that the gathering should be seen as a demonstration of unconditional support for Qatar. He condemned Israel's actions as a violation of international law and called for collective action to address the escalating tensions in the region.
The summit also addressed the ongoing conflict in Gaza, with leaders expressing concern over the humanitarian crisis and calling for immediate measures to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people. While the summit issued strong statements of support for Qatar and condemnation of Israel's actions, it stopped short of proposing concrete retaliatory measures.
