HÜDA PAR meets parliament speaker to discuss new legislative commission

The leader of Türkiye’s Free Cause Party (HÜDA PAR), Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, has met with Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, to discuss the formation of a new parliamentary commission focused on an emerging legislative initiative.
The meeting, held in Ankara, included HÜDA PAR MPs Şahzade Demir from Gaziantep and Faruk Dinç from Mersin. In a statement on social media, the Grand National Assembly confirmed the visit, noting that Kurtulmuş had received the HÜDA PAR delegation.
Yapıcıoğlu later commented on the discussions, saying the party was briefed on the planned commission and shared its views. “We will sincerely offer all kinds of contributions for the establishment of brotherhood law,” he said, expressing gratitude for the Speaker’s hospitality. He did not elaborate on the specifics of the “brotherhood law” or the commission’s objectives.
The talks come as Türkiye’s parliament prepares for a new legislative term, with the proposed commission expected to play a key role in shaping upcoming reforms. While details remain scarce, the initiative is believed to focus on fostering national unity and legal reform, with consultations ongoing across parliamentary groups.
HÜDA PAR has pledged its support for the process, signaling its intent to contribute to Türkiye’s legislative agenda in the months ahead. (ILKHA)
