A Huge blast took place in a fireworks factory in the Hendek district of Turkey’s northwestern Sakarya province on Friyday.
“At least 41 workers were injured in the explosion,” Sakarya Governor Çetin Oktay Kaldırım said, noting that there were about 150 to 200 people working in the factory at the time of the explosion.
“The factory had 110 tonnes of fireworks in its warehouse,” the governor added
The injured have been taken to hospital, yet there is no loss of life.
The sound of the explosion was heard from many parts of the province. Many people in the city took to the streets after the explosion.
Many health and fire crews were dispatched to the area following the explosion. (ILKHA)
