Istanbul Airport ranked first in Europe in terms of the average number of daily flights during the period from 16-22 February, with 1,283 flights, the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) said.
Istanbul International Airport exceeded London Heathrow and French Charles de Gaulle in the number of flights in the mentioned period, Eurocontrol said in a report.
