Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport cancels flights due to harsh weather forecast

In anticipation of severe weather, Sabiha Gökçen Airport has announced flight cancellations for the upcoming days.
According to a joint statement issued by Airport Operation and Aviation Industries Inc. (HEAŞ) and the Meteorological Emergency Committee (MADKOM), approximately 5% of flights on December 11, 2025, and 10% of flights on December 12, 2025, will be canceled.
The statement advised passengers to regularly check the status of their flights through the official websites and call centers of their respective airline companies to stay informed of any changes.
Authorities are taking these precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all travelers as the adverse meteorological conditions are expected to affect operations at the airport.
Passengers planning to travel through Sabiha Gökçen Airport on these dates are advised to prepare for potential disruptions and check their flight statuses frequently.
