The "4th Meeting of Scholars" will be held by ITTIHAD AL-ULEMA in Diyarbakir, a southeastern province of Turkey, on October 19-20.
ITTIHAD AL-ULEMA will hold the 4th of its traditional "Meeting of Scholars" in Diyarbakir on 19-20 October with the participation of many scholars.
The Secretary-General of ITTIHAD AL-ULEMA, Mullah Muhammad Özer expressed that they hold a meeting of scholars every year in October and that their preparations for the big meeting, which would be attended by Turkish, Iraqi, Iranian and Syrian scholars, had been completed.
Stating that their meeting will be last for 2 days, Özer informed that their weight point will be the negotiations, communique and speeches of the ulema regarding madrasas, the importance of madrasas, the things to be done and the development of them on the first day of the meeting.
Özer further stressed that their meeting on the second day will focus on what can be done about the role of madrasas and scholars in reforming society.
Özer stated that only invited guests will participate in the meeting and that they will announce the common point they reached the meeting.
Özer expressed that they put the decisions they took in the previous 3 meetings into practice and wished the 4th Meeting of Scholars to be instrumental for good deeds.
The final declaration of the meeting will be announced on Sunday, October 20, Özer concluded. (ILKHA)
