Prophet’s Lovers Foundation calls for unity and resistance in Eid message

The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation (Peygamber Sevdalıları Vakfı) used its annual Eid al-Fitr message to highlight the ongoing humanitarian crises in Gaza and Yemen, urging Muslims worldwide to unite and act against the aggression and suffering.
The statement, delivered by Board Member Ömer Çelik on behalf of the foundation, called for an end to the violence and urged Muslims worldwide to foster unity and solidarity during the Eid.
Çelik described the occasion as a time to rebuild the "spirit of unity and brotherhood" following a month of fasting and worship. "Eid is a collective celebration, a moment to revive the sense of tawhid [Islamic unity] after Ramadan," he said. "Despite the sadness in our hearts, we feel joy for having fasted, prayed, and immersed ourselves in worship."
Çelik cautioned against reducing Eid to materialism or leisure, emphasizing the importance of visiting the elderly, the poor, and orphans, as well as forgiving past wrongs. "These sacred days should not be turned into mere holidays defined by extravagance," he warned. "They are a time for togetherness and passing on our spiritual values to future generations."
The message took a somber turn as Çelik addressed the dire situation in Gaza and Yemen. "Zionist murderers commit new massacres in Gaza every day," he stated, highlighting the "relentless cruelty" that has brought pain, tears, and grief to the region’s people. "Our joys are overshadowed by sorrow, and our pain fuels our anger. We share in the suffering of our oppressed brothers and sisters and feel ashamed for not doing more to help."
Praising the "honorable and heroic resistance" of those in affected areas, Çelik saluted their "martyrdom" and expressed hope that their "jihad spirit" would inspire the broader Islamic world. He concluded with a prayer: "We ask Allah to grant success to their struggle, end the occupation and massacres, and turn their pain into joy."
In closing, the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation extended Eid greetings to Muslims worldwide, with Çelik adding: "We hope this Eid brings goodness to the entire Ummah and strengthens our collective consciousness to end the suffering in Islamic lands." (ILKHA)
