Russian delegation arrives in Istanbul for talks with U.S.

A Russian delegation arrived at the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul on Thursday for discussions on bilateral diplomatic issues.
The delegation arrived at the consulate, located on the European side of Istanbul, at approximately 9:45 a.m. local time (0645 GMT). The meeting follows an announcement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who stated in Doha, Qatar, on Wednesday that the discussions would focus on operational concerns related to diplomatic missions in both countries. The agenda includes improving conditions for embassy personnel, addressing staffing levels, and resolving issues regarding embassy properties.
The talks come amid ongoing diplomatic tensions between Russia and the United States, with both sides seeking to find solutions to longstanding disputes over embassy operations. The outcome of the meeting is expected to influence future diplomatic engagements between the two nations. (ILKHA)
