Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a press release regarding the attack in Iraq’s Diyala province.
“We are deeply saddened to learn that this morning (21 January) a large number of Iraqi soldiers were killed and many were wounded in a terrorist attack carried out by DAESH in Iraq’s Diyala Province,” the Ministry said, adding: “We strongly condemn this heinous terror attack and underscore once again that we stand by our friend and neighbor Iraq in its fight against terrorism.”
“We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives as well as speedy recovery to the wounded and extend our condolences to the brotherly people and Government of Iraq,” the Ministry added. (ILKHA)
