24 people have died from coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours in Turkey, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 4,609, announced Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, on his Twitter account on Wednesday.
Turkey has so far reported 166,422 confirmed coronavirus cases, an increase of 867 cases in the last 24 hours.
130,852 patients suffering from the disease have fully recovered from the infection and been discharged from hospital.
While 612 patients are being treated in intensive care unit, there are some 261 patients who are mechanically ventilated.
A total of 2,155,349 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted in the country. (ILKHA)
