The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced on Monday that six PKK/YPG militants were neutralized in operations conducted in northern Syria and northern Iraq.
In a statement on X, the ministry reported that four PKK/YPG militants were identified and neutralized in the Peace Spring region of northern Syria, while two PKK militants were neutralized in the Claw-Lock Operation region of northern Iraq.
“Our heroic Turkish Armed Forces neutralized 4 PKK/YPG terrorists identified in the Peace Spring region in northern Syria and 2 PKK terrorists identified in the Claw-Lock Operation region in northern Iraq,” the ministry's statement read.
The operations are part of Türkiye's ongoing efforts to eliminate threats and ensure border security in the region. The Peace Spring operation, launched in 2019, targets PKK/YPG militants in northern Syria, while the Claw-Lock operation focuses on dismantling PKK hideouts in northern Iraq.
Türkiye has consistently reiterated its determination to continue anti-terror operations until all threats posed by PKK and YPG militants are eradicated. (ILKHA)
