The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT), Numan Kurtulmuş, has embarked on a journey to Mexico City to participate in the 10th Meeting of the Speakers of Parliament of MIKTA.
The MIKTA, an informal partnership, comprises Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea, Türkiye, and Australia.
The 10th Meeting of the Speakers of Parliaments of MIKTA is set to take place in Mexico City. The theme for this year's meeting is ‘Joint activities of parliaments to build a more peaceful, equal and just world’. This theme underscores the collective commitment of the participating nations towards fostering global peace, equality, and justice.
It is anticipated that Kurtulmuş, representing Türkiye, will deliver a speech at these sessions. In addition, he is expected to chair the session on migration, a topic of global significance and concern.
In the sidelines of the meeting, Kurtulmuş is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Marcela Guerra Castillo, the Speaker of the Mexican House of Representatives. This meeting is expected to further strengthen the diplomatic ties between Türkiye and Mexico. (ILKHA)
