Turkish authorities apprehended 60 individuals affiliated with the outlawed Fethullah Gülen Terrorist Organization (FETO) in a coordinated operation dubbed "Kıskaç-12" spanning 14 provinces.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the successful operation on social media, vowing continued efforts to dismantle FETO. The operations were conducted under the supervision of the General Directorate of Security's Intelligence Department and Counterterrorism Branch Directorate, with provincial security directorates' participation.
The suspects were captured in İzmir, Denizli, Afyonkarahisar, Konya, Aksaray, Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Sakarya, Isparta, Muğla, Erzurum, Düzce, Manisa, and Çorum. They allegedly collected funds for the organization under the pretense of charity, used safe houses, communicated through payphones, and had outstanding arrest warrants or prison sentences linked to FETO investigations.
Approximately 6 million Turkish Lira in cash, along with various valuables and digital materials, were confiscated during the operation.
