Türkiye condemns deadly terrorist attack in Pakistan

Türkiye has strongly condemned a terrorist attack in northwestern Pakistan that claimed the lives of 12 Pakistani soldiers, describing the incident as a “heinous act of terror.”
In a statement released on Saturday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for Allah’s mercy upon those killed.
The attack occurred during counterterrorism operations in Pakistan’s northwestern region, according to the Pakistani military. Security forces reported that in two separate operations conducted between September 10 and 13, 35 militants affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were eliminated.
Türkiye reiterated its unwavering support for Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, emphasizing its commitment to regional stability and security. The statement also highlighted the strong bilateral ties between Ankara and Islamabad, noting that both nations remain united in facing persistent security challenges in the region. (ILKHA)
