A helicopter belonging to the FSB security services tragically crashed in central Russia on Tuesday, resulting in the loss of three lives.
The ill-fated MI-8 helicopter went down near the village of Krasnoe Pole in the Chelyabinsk region.
The governor of the region, Aleksei Teksler, confirmed the unfortunate incident but did not provide specific details regarding the cause of the crash.
Governor Teksler took to social media to share preliminary information, revealing that all three individuals on board the helicopter had tragically lost their lives.
Fortunately, there was no reported damage to any buildings or civilians on the ground. The aircraft has been linked to the FSB, highlighting the gravity of the incident.
Russia has been plagued by aviation accidents over the years, attributed to inadequate safety regulations and subpar maintenance standards.
