Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held an introductory meeting on Monday with Alireza Bikdeli, the newly appointed Ambassador of Iran to Afghanistan.
The meeting took place in Kabul, where Muttaqi warmly welcomed Ambassador Bikdeli and extended his best wishes for success in his diplomatic mission.
According to Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, Deputy Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Acting Minister assured Ambassador Bikdeli of the Ministry’s full cooperation to facilitate his work in Afghanistan.
In response, Ambassador Bikdeli conveyed the greetings and best wishes of his Iranian counterpart and emphasized his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations. He expressed his determination to strengthen ties during his tenure and proposed high-level delegation visits in the near future to further expand cooperation across various sectors. (ILKHA)
