Afghanistan: Sheikh Hibatullah affirms uncompromising stance on Sharia law
Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, delivered a strong message during his Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Eidgah mosque in Kandahar, asserting that Afghans will never compromise on Islam.
Akhundzada emphasized his unwavering stance on Sharia law, declaring "If you stand by your false religion, why should I not stand by my true religion?"
He rebuked any notion of negotiation over Islam, highlighting the sacrifices made by Afghans and the destruction of their homes. Akhundzada pointedly stated that Islam is the sole point of contention with the world.
While addressing concerns about the Islamic Emirate's governance, Akhundzada assured that any issues could be resolved within the framework of Islamic law. He reiterated the Emirate's commitment to upholding their religion and laws.
Akhundzada refuted claims that the Islamic Emirate lacks laws, asserting that their legal framework is based on Islamic Sharia. He criticized those who oppose their implementation of Sharia, emphasizing the necessity of respecting Islamic laws.
Notably, Akhundzada did not address the reopening of schools and universities in his speech. (ILKHA)
