Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, declared that the Palestinian resistance is prepared to crush the israeli occupation if it dares to enter Gaza.
The statement came during a public address as the conflict marked its sixth day, with Abu Obeida commenting on the latest developments in light of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
Highlighting the context of the ongoing battle, Abu Obeida stated that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood picked up from where the last major confrontation, 2021's Seif Al-Quds, left off, emphasizing, "We went into this battle for the prisoners."
The spokesperson noted that the achievements of Al-Qassam Brigades in this operation exceeded initial expectations, with enhanced coordination within the Axis of Resistance for future struggles against the common enemy.
"Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was meticulously planned, considering factors like terrain and weather impact. The leadership worked tirelessly with this goal in mind," Abu Obeida explained.
Revealing key statistics, Abu Obeida stated that the resistance launched 3,500 rockets and artillery shells targeting the Gaza Division, resulting in the destruction of 15 sites and disabling an additional 10 auxiliary sites.
"We maintained secrecy regarding our intentions, military exercises, and movements before executing Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. Extensive plans were devised to train our forces and enhance their efficiency," he added.
Abu Obeida highlighted the strategic deception employed by the Palestinian Resistance against the Israeli occupation since early 2022.
Condemning the Israeli occupation for its alleged crimes against civilians, Abu Obeida emphasized the priority of holding its leadership accountable. He affirmed that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood is ongoing, asserting the Al-Qassam Brigades' control over the battle's course and underlining their preparedness for defense with robust military infrastructure and armament.
The spokesperson concluded by stating: "Our military capabilities enable us to efficiently defend ourselves." (ILKHA)
