The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine, marked the second anniversary of the Operation Al-Aqsa Flood Wednesday with a defiant statement, declaring the 2023 offensive a "historic turning point" and vowing to continue armed resistance until the full liberation of Palestine.

In their communiqué, the group characterized the ongoing conflict as a direct continuation of the operation that began two years ago, asserting that the resistance remains "firm, resilient, and creative" despite what it described as a "genocidal onslaught" by Israeli forces.

The Brigades framed the Al-Aqsa Flood as a transformative moment that "shattered the illusion of Israeli invincibility" and revitalized global attention on the Palestinian cause. The statement recalled that "dozens of Zionist soldiers were killed and many others captured" during the initial attack, emphasizing that the conflict has persisted without cessation since that day.

"The weapon of resistance will never be laid down as long as the occupation exists," the group declared, adding that the only path to freeing Palestinian prisoners would be through "honorable exchange deals" that also secure an end to the war and the lifting of the blockade on Gaza.

The statement extended gratitude to allied forces across the region, specifically highlighting Hezbollah and its leader Hassan Nasrallah for their "steadfast and principled stand," and praising Yemen's Ansarullah movement for continuous strikes against Israel over two years.

"This era of resistance will continue until victory — until every inch of Palestinian land is liberated, every prisoner freed, and the occupation erased from our blessed homeland," the statement affirmed.
