Ankara calls for decisive global response to Israeli aggression in Gaza

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Israel’s extensive ground operation in Gaza, stating that the move undermines ongoing efforts to establish peace and stability in the region.
In a press release issued Monday, the ministry criticized Israel for continuing its military campaign despite ongoing negotiations, saying the latest escalation demonstrates a lack of intent to achieve a lasting peace.
“At a time when negotiations are ongoing, Israel's extensive ground operation in Gaza undermines all attempts to achieve peace and stability. This development has once again demonstrated that Israel does not intend to achieve a lasting peace,” the statement read.
The ministry reiterated its call for an immediate halt to all military operations, the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and the urgent establishment of a ceasefire.
"It is of utmost importance for the international community to take effective and decisive steps against Israel to ensure regional peace and security. We call on the international community to take action in line with its legal and humanitarian obligations,” the statement added.
The remarks come amid renewed international concern over escalating violence in Gaza and mounting civilian casualties. (ILKHA)
