At least five people were killed after unknown gunmen stormed into Villa Rose hotel in Mogadishu.
“Security operations are underway to end the terrorist attack by Al-Shabab Khawarij on a business hotel in the capital Mogadishu,” National Police spokesman Sadik Dodishe said in a statement.
“Many people, including civilians and officials were rescued. Culprits will pay the price,” he added
According to local sources, the attack started with a suicide explosion.
