At least one dead, 11 injured as Israel strikes civilian targets in Yemen

The Yemeni Ministry of Health has confirmed that the number of civilian casualties from Israeli airstrikes targeting Yemen’s western province of Hodeida has risen to 12, marking a dangerous escalation in Israeli regime’s aggression beyond Palestine.
According to the statement released by the ministry, one Yemeni civilian was killed and 11 others were injured after Israeli warplanes struck key infrastructure in the Al-Salif and Hodeida ports, both vital to Yemen’s struggling humanitarian and trade operations.
The attack is being widely condemned across Yemen as a blatant act of aggression and a clear violation of international law. Human rights organizations have warned that the targeting of civilian infrastructure could further exacerbate the suffering of the Yemeni people, who are already enduring a dire humanitarian crisis due to years of war and blockade.
"This assault on our sovereignty and our people shows the extent of the Israeli regime’s disregard for human life—not only in Palestine, but now in Yemen as well," said a spokesperson from the health ministry.
The airstrikes come amid growing regional tensions, with Israeli forces intensifying their campaign against resistance movements across the Arab and Islamic world. Many in Yemen view the attack as an attempt to punish the country for its open solidarity with Gaza and its support for the Palestinian cause.
Local authorities have called on the international community, particularly the United Nations and Arab League, to take immediate and decisive action to halt Israeli aggression and hold Tel Aviv accountable for its war crimes in both Palestine and Yemen.
Meanwhile, Yemeni resistance factions have vowed to respond to what they called “a cowardly act of aggression against a steadfast and honorable nation that has always stood with the oppressed people of Gaza.”
The strikes on Hodeida mark a new chapter in the expanding scope of Israeli military operations, and raise serious concerns about the regime’s willingness to widen its war beyond Palestinian borders.
Yemenis across the country have vowed to continue standing firm in their support for Palestine, despite the bloodshed inflicted by the occupying entity. (ILKHA)
