The number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic has risen to 8,134 in Iran after 63 new deaths were reported, the country’s Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour announced Friday.
2,886 more people have tested positive for coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 167,156 in the country, according to Kianoush Jahanpour.
2,573 patients are in critical condition and of those suffering from the disease, 129,741 patients have gained recovery.
So far, 1,040,289 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 393,677 with 6,728,537 cases and more than 3,271,121 recoveries. (ILKHA)
