An old woman has died of Coronavirus in the Gaza Strip marking the first death of the virus in the besieged enclave, the ministry of health in the Strip reported on Saturday.
Ashraf al-Qudra, the ministry’s spokesman in Gaza, said that 77-year-old Fadila Abu Reida had died of the Coronavirus at the Rafah border crossing's isolation hospital.
He said that the deceased was also suffering from chronic illness and that her burial would be in accordance with standard protocols in that case.
The ministry also announced that there were no new cases of the virus in the Strip over the past 24 hours. (ILKHA)
