A devastating accident occurred on Tuesday in Chile's Los Lagos region when a Chilean Air Force (FACH) Bell-412 helicopter crashed, resulting in the loss of all five crew members on board.
The FACH swiftly confirmed the incident and expressed deep sorrow over the tragic event.
The helicopter, which belonged to the Aviation Group No. 5, met with the accident at approximately 20:30 hours on 31st July in the La Cumbre sector, located within the commune of San Juan de la Costa in the picturesque Los Lagos Region.
The helicopter was reportedly on a night flight training mission when the tragic incident occurred. The five members of the institution who were on board the aircraft tragically lost their lives in the accident.
