Gaza death toll from Israeli genocide surpasses 64,964 as humanitarian crisis deepens

Medical authorities in the Gaza Strip announced Tuesday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli genocide has risen to 64,964 martyrs and 165,312 wounded since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023.
According to health officials, Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours killed 59 Palestinians and wounded 386 others, with victims transported to hospitals across the besieged enclave. Civil defense teams reported that many more victims remain trapped under the rubble or lying in the streets, as ambulances and rescue crews struggle to reach them due to the intensity of bombardment and ongoing military operations.
The health ministry also confirmed that 112 slain aid-seekers were transferred to hospitals during the same period, bringing the total number of martyrs among those seeking humanitarian aid to 2,497, with more than 18,294 wounded.
Since March 18, 2025, alone, Israeli attacks have killed 12,413 Palestinians and wounded 53,271 others, reflecting a dramatic escalation in the scale of atrocities committed against the civilian population.
The humanitarian catastrophe continues to be compounded by famine sweeping through Gaza. Medical sources reported three deaths due to starvation and malnutrition in the past 24 hours, including one child. This brings the total number of famine-related deaths to 428, including 146 children. Since the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) formally declared famine in the Gaza Strip, 150 deaths have been recorded, among them 31 children.
Human rights groups have warned that the true death toll is likely far higher, as many bodies remain buried under collapsed buildings and in inaccessible areas due to relentless bombing.
International aid agencies have renewed their calls for an immediate ceasefire, warning that the combination of continuous airstrikes, siege-induced starvation, and collapse of Gaza’s health system is creating one of the worst humanitarian crises of the 21st century. (ILKHA)
