Gaza hospitals report casualties despite ceasefire

Hospitals in Gaza have received 17 killed and 19 injured Palestinians in the past 48 hours despite an ongoing ceasefire, the enclave’s Health Ministry reported.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the total Palestinian death toll in Israel’s war on Gaza has risen to 48,365, with 111,780 people wounded. However, the Government Media Office has updated its figures, stating that at least 61,709 Palestinians have been killed, including thousands presumed dead under the rubble.
The discrepancy in figures highlights the ongoing challenges in verifying casualties amid the devastation. With thousands still missing, officials warn that the humanitarian crisis continues to deepen.
Despite calls for a lasting ceasefire and urgent international intervention, reports of continued violence and loss of life underscore the fragility of the situation. Aid agencies and humanitarian organizations have reiterated their appeals for immediate relief efforts to assist the thousands affected by the ongoing conflict. (ILKHA)
