Genocide in Gaza: 75 dead, hundreds injured in 24 hours

At least 75 Palestinians were killed and 304 others injured in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours as Israel’s relentless military campaign continues for the 24th consecutive month, medical sources reported on Sunday.
Local health authorities confirmed that the overall death toll in Gaza since the Israeli onslaught began in October 2023 has now reached 65,283 fatalities, with 166,575 people injured. The majority of the victims are women and children, highlighting the devastating human cost of Israel’s occupation and indiscriminate attacks.
Emergency services continue to struggle under extremely dangerous conditions, as many casualties remain trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings or scattered on roads throughout the densely populated enclave. Health officials noted that Israeli occupation forces have repeatedly targeted ambulances and civil defense crews, obstructing rescue operations and further endangering civilian lives.
“The situation on the ground is catastrophic,” a health authority spokesperson said. “Medical teams are stretched to their limits, and the continued targeting of rescue workers prevents us from reaching countless injured and deceased Palestinians.”
The international community has repeatedly called for an immediate halt to the violence. The United Nations Security Council has demanded a ceasefire, while the International Court of Justice has urged measures to prevent genocide and address the severe humanitarian crisis. Despite these interventions, Israeli forces continue their campaign, intensifying the suffering of Gaza’s population.
Local authorities and human rights organizations warn that the continuation of Israel’s operations constitutes ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. They are calling on the global community to hold Israel accountable for war crimes and to urgently intervene to protect civilians. (ILKHA)
