Genocide in Gaza: Over 100 civilians killed in latest Israeli strikes

Israeli forces unleashed a fresh wave of deadly airstrikes across the besieged Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing at least 101 Palestinians in a single day, including 36 in al-Mawasi — an area Israel had cynically declared a “safe zone” for displaced civilians.
The latest bloodshed underscores the ongoing brutality of Israel’s genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people, as its military intensifies preparations for another ground invasion. The attacks took place amid growing international outrage over Israel’s indiscriminate targeting of residential areas, refugee camps, and shelters.
According to sources on the ground, 44 of those killed were in southern Gaza, 42 in the north, and 15 in the central region. Al-Mawasi, which had been flooded with families fleeing bombardments in other parts of the Strip, became the site of one of the day’s worst massacres. Survivors described scenes of devastation, with children buried under rubble and entire families wiped out in their sleep.
The Gaza Health Ministry reports that Israel’s ongoing war — now in its seventh month — has killed at least 53,272 Palestinians and wounded 120,673 others. However, Gaza’s Government Media Office puts the death toll at more than 61,700, noting that thousands of Palestinians are still buried under the debris of their homes and presumed dead.
Rights groups and international observers have repeatedly condemned Israel for committing what many have labeled war crimes and crimes against humanity, accusing it of deliberately targeting civilians, hospitals, and evacuation zones in clear violation of international law.
Despite the devastating civilian toll, Israel continues to act with impunity, backed by unrelenting Western support and arms shipments. The people of Gaza — besieged, starving, and bombarded — remain trapped in what has become the world’s most dangerous open-air prison.
As families continue to dig through the rubble with bare hands, and hospitals run out of supplies, Palestinians are calling on the international community to demand an immediate ceasefire, lift the blockade, and hold Israel accountable for its atrocities. (ILKHA)
