Ahmad Abdel Hadi, the Hamas representative in Lebanon, has praised the Beijing Declaration, asserting that it counters US-Israeli schemes and supports armed resistance in Gaza and the West Bank.
In a statement, Abdel Hadi emphasized that the Beijing Declaration aligns with the strategic gains of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which he claims has globally recognized the Palestinian people's rights. He also highlighted the context of the declaration, citing the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in Gaza since October 7, 2023, as a critical factor driving the agreement.
Abdel Hadi criticized American-Israeli efforts, in collaboration with regional partners, to create alternative forces to the Palestinian Resistance, suggesting that any such foreign intervention would be seen as an "occupation" by the Palestinian people.
The Hamas official commended the Beijing Declaration for blocking schemes that serve Israeli interests and for setting a framework for Palestinian unity and governance. He noted that the agreement outlines a transitional phase leading to the formation of a Palestinian National Council and government.
Additionally, it includes plans for coordinating meetings among Palestinian factions, with China playing a key role in monitoring and supporting the agreement, alongside other historical sponsors like Egypt and Algeria. (ILKHA)
