Hamas announced the release of three Israeli captives from the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
This act of goodwill was part of the ongoing ceasefire agreement, marking the fifth exchange between the Palestinian resistance and Israeli occupation forces.
During a ceremony, the captives, identified as Eli Sharabi, Or Levy, and Ohad Ben Ami, were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) amidst a televised event. After signing necessary documents, the ICRC transported the captives to a designated Israeli military point within the Gaza Strip, from where they crossed into Israel.
In return for this gesture, 183 Palestinian prisoners and detainees are set to be liberated from Israeli jails later today. This group includes individuals who were unjustly detained from Gaza during the conflict, highlighting the resilience and solidarity of the Palestinian people in the face of occupation.
This exchange underscores the ongoing struggle for Palestinian freedom and the resistance's commitment to humanitarian efforts, even in times of conflict. The ceasefire deal continues to offer a glimmer of hope for peace, urging the international community to recognize and support the legitimate rights of Palestinians to live free from oppression.
