Iran's acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, and Khalil al-Hayya, Deputy Chief of Hamas's Political Bureau, have held discussions regarding Israel's recent deadly attack on a school in Gaza.
The airstrike, which occurred in the Daraj area of Gaza during morning prayers on Saturday, resulted in the deaths of more than 100 Palestinians, including women and children.
In a phone conversation, Bagheri Kani condemned the attack and stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is actively working to prompt international and regional organizations to denounce what he described as a newly-committed crime by Israel. He emphasized Iran's commitment to rallying global opposition against the assault.
Khalil al-Hayya, representing the Palestinian resistance movement, highlighted the tragic loss of innocent lives and called on the international community to condemn the attack as a terrorist act. He also underscored the importance of continuing consultations with Iran on this issue, signaling a need for ongoing collaboration between the two parties.
The attack on the Gaza school has drawn widespread condemnation and has further escalated tensions in the region. Iran and Hamas's discussions are part of broader efforts to address the ongoing conflict and to seek international support against Israeli actions in Gaza. (ILKHA)
