The number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic has risen to 7,508 in Iran after 57 new deaths were reported, the country’s Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour announced on Tuesday.
1,787 new cases were confirmed with coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 139,511 in the country, according to Kianoush Jahanpour.
2,567 patients are in critical condition and of those suffering from the disease, 109,437 patients have gained recovery.
So far, 837,090 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 348,330 with 5,611,601 cases and more than 2,388,108 recoveries. (ILKHA)
