415 more people have died due to the virus, rising the country’s coronavirus death toll to 33,714, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Wednesday.
After 6,824 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 558,648 in the country.
There are at least 5,012 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 467,917 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 4,820,000 have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 1,174,004 with 44,375,141 cases and more than 32,520,804 recoveries. (ILKHA)
