Israel’s blockade continues to starve Palestinian children

The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza continues to spiral, as medical sources confirmed that four Palestinians, including two children, have died from starvation and malnutrition in the past 24 hours.
These deaths bring the total number of famine-related fatalities in Gaza to 317, including 121 children, underscoring the deadly toll of the ongoing Israeli blockade and siege.
The crisis is a direct consequence of Israel’s genocidal war against Gaza, which has escalated since October 7, 2023. Palestinian civilians face a systematic denial of life-saving food, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid, with the blockade intensifying the spread of famine across the territory.
Since March 2, 2025, Israeli authorities have shut all crossings into Gaza, preventing the delivery of essential aid and medical assistance. Humanitarian agencies warn that this deliberate obstruction is driving thousands toward starvation and worsening the already dire conditions.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has reported that malnutrition among children under five doubled between March and June, while the World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that nearly one in five children in Gaza City now suffers from acute malnutrition.
Human rights advocates stress that this famine is not accidental but engineered, and they are calling for immediate action by the international community to lift the siege, allow unhindered humanitarian access, and save the lives of Gaza’s children.
Without urgent intervention, experts warn that an entire generation of Palestinian children is at risk of being wiped out by hunger and deprivation. (ILKHA)
