A mother and her four children were killed early Monday morning during an Israeli bombing in the Deir al-Balah area of central Gaza, according to local sources.
The airstrike targeted the Abu Samak family's home near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, also leaving several others injured.
The Israeli occupation forces intensified their air and artillery attacks across Gaza, with additional strikes reported in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. Helicopters targeted residential homes, while artillery bombardments continued in southwestern parts of the city.
The attacks are part of the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza, which has been escalating since October 7, 2023. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the bombardment has so far resulted in the deaths of 41,431 Palestinians, with 95,818 others injured, many of whom are children and women. Thousands more are missing and believed to be trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
