Israeli Forces detain 44 Palestinians in West Bank raids
Israeli forces reportedly detained 44 Palestinians during overnight raids across multiple areas of the West Bank, amid continued military operations and violations of the Gaza ceasefire.
According to local sources, Israeli soldiers stormed homes, conducting interrogations that lasted several hours in the streets. Some of the detainees were later released, while others remain in custody.
The raids also targeted the Ayde Refugee Camp north of Bethlehem and the town of Doha to the west, reflecting a broader pattern of military operations in the region over recent months.
These operations have coincided with an increase in Israeli raids across the West Bank, resulting in multiple injuries and fatalities among Palestinians. Human rights organizations have repeatedly criticized the detentions and raids, citing concerns about collective punishment and violations of international law.
The West Bank has witnessed rising tensions amid ongoing occupation policies, settlement expansions, and frequent incursions by Israeli forces, further exacerbating the humanitarian situation for Palestinians.
“These raids are part of a systematic campaign that destabilizes civilian life and undermines prospects for peace,” local activists stated.
Israeli military officials have not issued a detailed statement on the specific raids or the status of the detained individuals.(ILKHA)
