Israeli forces kill 30 Palestinians, injure 60 in attack on aid seekers in northern Gaza

At least 30 Palestinians were killed and 60 others injured on Sunday morning when Israeli forces opened fire on civilians waiting for humanitarian aid in the Al-Sudaniya area, northwest of Gaza City, according to medical reports.
Local sources reported that the victims, who were unarmed and gathered to collect desperately needed supplies for their families, came under attack while lined up in the aid distribution area. The assault has left many bodies scattered in the streets, with ongoing Israeli fire preventing rescue teams from safely recovering the dead or assisting the wounded.
Medical sources stated that the attack adds to a grim toll, with 891 Palestinians killed and 5,754 injured while attempting to access humanitarian aid since Israel began targeting aid seekers. The broader Israeli military campaign in Gaza, ongoing since October 2023, has resulted in at least 58,765 documented Palestinian deaths and over 140,485 injuries, according to local authorities. Thousands more are believed to be trapped under rubble, unreachable by emergency and civil defense teams due to continued Israeli attacks.
The violence persists despite international calls for de-escalation, including a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging Israel to prevent genocide and address the catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza. (ILKHA)
