Israeli occupation forces killed three Palestinians and injured four others during a military raid in the town of Qabatiya, located in the Jenin governorate of the occupied West Bank on Thursday.
Palestinian media reported that Israeli forces surrounded a house in Qabatiya, bombed it, and blocked medical teams from the Palestinian Red Crescent from reaching the scene. The bodies of the three victims were later recovered from the roof of the targeted home. Witnesses said Israeli forces conducted searches in the area before detonating the explosives.
In addition to the deadly raid, occupation forces fired indiscriminately in the vicinity, wounding several Palestinian schoolchildren and trapping hundreds inside their schools. Dozens of students at Izzat Abu al-Rab and Qabatiya Elementary Schools suffered from panic and suffocation after inhaling tear gas deployed by the soldiers.
Paramedics transported at least four injured people from the scene to local hospitals for treatment. The occupation forces also reportedly used tear gas against journalists covering the event, forcing many to retreat.
The situation in Jenin has remained tense in recent months, with regular Israeli military operations resulting in a growing number of casualties. (ILKHA)
