The Israeli genocidal aggression against the Gaza Strip has reached its 214th consecutive day, marked by a surge in violent bombardment targeting various regions.
In the latest wave of attacks, the city of Rafah bore the brunt of the assault, with raids also striking Gaza City and its northern outskirts near the Yarmouk area.
According to local sources, the Al-Hams family suffered devastating losses as their house in the Al-Geneina neighborhood of Rafah was targeted, resulting in the deaths of four civilians. Additionally, an Israeli raid on the Abdel-Al family's residence in central Rafah claimed the life of one family member and left others wounded.
The northern Gaza Strip witnessed relentless airstrikes, with towns like Beit Hanoun and Jabalia being targeted by Israeli warplanes. Gaza City and its northern periphery, including the Yarmouk area and east of Jabalia, were also subjected to intense bombings. Tragically, three civilians lost their lives in an airstrike on the Al-Durailmi family's home in Al-Sabra neighborhood, while another citizen was killed in an attack on a residence owned by the Bakr family in al-Shati' Camp.
Civil defense teams worked tirelessly to retrieve bodies and rescue survivors trapped under the rubble of homes belonging to the Abu Amra, Al-Shamali, Al-Hams, and Abdel-Al families in Rafah, which were targeted in the airstrikes.
Earlier incidents included an Israeli bombing on a house in the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah, resulting in the deaths of five civilians and injuries to others. Additionally, a residence owned by the Abu Amra family was bombed, claiming three lives, including that of a child.
Since October 7, the Israeli occupation forces have maintained a relentless campaign of land, sea, and air aggression against the Gaza Strip. The toll on civilians has been staggering, with over 34,735 deaths, predominantly children and women, and 78,108 others injured. Many remain trapped under the debris, highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region. (ILKHA)
