Groups of Israeli settlers on Tuesday morning broke into al-Aqsa Mosque under police escort.
Local sources said that dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the eastern part of the Mosque through al-Magahreba Gate while accompanied by heavily armed police officers.
The settlers roamed al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards for hours and carried out provocative rituals inside the compound, according to the same sources.
Meanwhile, restrictions were tightened on the Palestinian worshipers entering the Mosque, and they were banned from approaching the eastern area of the site particularly. (ILKHA)
